All things shiny

Same old weather but a new day brings a new team to St George’s.  The glazers have now arrived and the cloister is stacked with large sheets of glass and the new doors, ready for installation.  The picture below shows Sam cutting grooves in the brickwork ready for the doors.

The pavers were also back to put the final touches to the steps and piazza which incidentally, looks beautiful in the rain!  The insulation work has now been completed and Paul has already noticed a significant difference however the real test will come this weekend as the temperature is predicted to drop; will anyone be brave enough to wear shorts and a t-shirt I wonder?!

Things seem to be going fairly smoothly and Sam is tentatively talking of a completion in just a couple of weeks and two lemon drizzles cakes delivered today will hopefully keep them on track.  A number of people on the school run have commented on how smart and improved things are looking which is great to hear; let’s just hope it’s enough to tempt them in!
