This is the ‘Fromevale Crew’ – the contractors who have been working very long, hard hours over the past few weeks to complete the insulation work and fit the plasterboard and we’d like to express a huge thank you to them for their efforts. No doubt the on-going supply of home made cakes has helped maintain their stamina but they really have done a great job and if they look exhausted in this picture, it’s because it was taken after they had knocked off at the end of a tough day. The picture below shows Jamie, Bert and the team striving to complete the timber work in the 1930’s section of roof and as you will see, the job is just about finished now. It is thanks to the efforts of these craftsmen and the steady hand of ‘Sam the Man’, Site Manager, that the project remains on track and we expect the plasterers to return at the end of this week to complete the ceiling before it is decorated. Plans are even being made to begin the mammoth task of cleaning the church ready for the move back in so the end is very much in sight now. Thanks guys – we’ll miss you when you’re gone!
