This photo shows a site meeting which took place last week and illustrates the level of activity going on in the church at present. On Saturday the team from Fromevale plastered the west end of the ceiling and the pictures show work in progress and the finished job; one imagines there were some sore backs that evening!
The ceiling will look quite different to the old one as the shadow tram lines will no longer be visible and all that is required now is a coat of white paint. The loft hatches that have been installed are also visible and these will allow access to the entire roof, should we ever need it. The contractors also came across a bat this week but luckily it was a very late bat! This tiny skeleton is now on display near the main door to the church along with all the other artifacts we have discovered.
